A garden centre with a difference

The main draw here has to be the 'Jurassic Cove Adventure Golf'. They also have fantastic food, a children's adventure playground and regular storytelling sessions for children aged four and under.



Bents Garden and Home was opened in 1937 and it is a family owned and run garden centre. It is a unique store with a whole host of products for outdoor and indoor living. They have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand to guide and advise you on the best buys. They have plants, seeds, outdoor furniture, barbecues and outdoor buildings. They also sell indoor furniture, gifts, fresh food, clothing, shoes, toys, pet supplies and everything you need for your kitchen.



There is everything here for a full day out and the food on offer is superb. They have six different dining options available and I am often stumped for choice when eating here. They have the renowned Fresh Approach Restaurant and cafés, plus sandwich and soup bars, a Mediterranean inspired tapas bar and a very popular pet café, where pets are most welcome. Whatever you choose to eat just make sure you leave room for dessert!



The adventure golf area has recently opened and features an eighteen hole course that consists of two themed areas. Nine of the holes allow you to adventure through a pirate filled seascape, where creatures of the deep and creaking shipwrecks must be tackled. The other nine holes are set amidst an ancient world and include spectacular life-sized animatronic and static dinosaurs. This family focused attraction appeals to all ages and is a must for any visitors here. It is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through to Saturday and 10:00am to 4:30pm on Sundays.





The adventure play area is aimed at little ones between the ages of 3 and 10. It has a variety of different areas including sensory experiences, climbing walls, a wonky walk and adventure towers. It has been specially designed to encourage children to enjoy the great outdoors whilst immersing themselves in adventure play. The play area is positioned right next door to the outside decking area which means it’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and cake whilst keeping an eye on the kids. They also have a large indoor sandpit for children to play in!



If you are after a quieter activity they hold storytelling sessions on a Tuesday at 9:30 am for an hour of stories and excitement. Booking is not required for this and it takes place in the family area of the restaurant. They are perfect for little ones with a sense of adventure.
