Children's Hair Salons, Manchester

by Sophie Cannon (follow)
If your child is anything like mine then you'll know that getting him to sit still for a haircut can often be a nightmare, and sometimes downright impossible. Because of this, I tend to pack everything apart from the kitchen sink when it's time to visit the local barbershop, iPad, colouring books, lollipops, suitable items for bribery- you name it, I've got it!

So wouldn't it be great to be able to have a stress free trip to the hair salon for once? Or if your child is quite comfortable having a hair cut, how about just turning a boring chore into an exciting trip out for your little one?

We've found three highly rated 'Children's Hair Salons' around Manchester that are the perfect places to entertain kids whilst getting the chop!

Mini Rascals Hair Salon, Cheadle
Located in the bustling village of Cheadle, Mini Rascals is unisex, children's hair salon that promises to make every hair cut a 'fun and friendly experience'. The salon itself couldn't be more inviting, with brightly coloured decor and plenty of fun toys to be busy with while you wait.

Mini Rascals Hair

Whilst getting a trim, kids can play racing driver in the "car chairs", enjoy a snack or two, or choose from a range of DVDs to watch on their own mini screen. With calm and patient staff, and lots of distracting activities, your Mini Rascals will be begging for a haircut time and time again!

Little Big Heads, Various Locations
Little Big Heads offer an awesome hairdressing experience for kids in Bramhall, Wilmslow and Altrincham. Kids will love visiting the salon, as there's just so much to do - there's even a dedicated play room, packed full of pens, paper, toys and activities, so waiting times won't be an issue if you've got more than one child needing a trim.

The salon also boasts specially made children's chairs, mini TV screens, character capes and experienced staff who make an effort to keep up to date with the latest hair trends for children. Kids can also look forward to stickers and treats at the end of their haircut (Ahem, bribery at it's best!) and even parents are catered for, with hot and cold drinks and free Wifi.

Address: Check out each location address here.
Average Cost: 5 for a fringe trim. Between 12 - 17 (depending on age) for a full cut and style.
