Craft and Coffee

by Lydia (follow)
A fabulous space to engage in messy, creative play

Craft and Coffee is a family run business in the heart of Urmston. They provide a comfy, relaxing environment where you will be sure to feel welcome. They are passionate about the local community and seek to bring everyone together through the love of arts and food.

The big draw to Craft and Coffee is the arts and craft activities that they have here. They stock and provide everything you would possibly need to do décopatch. If you are not sure what this is or haven't tried it before, it is seriously addictive and a fun way to engage children in the arts. It is like painting but you do it with paper and décopatch glue!

The cafe has a fabulous selection of things to decorate, from a huge unicorn head, to keepsake boxes and animals. Prices for the items start from just £4. They stock a wide range and fantastic choice of papers to use as well and I particularly loved the many different types of leopard print.

Décopatch is suitable for all ages from 2 years old. It is also a relaxing and fun activity for adults too! In addition they have many other activities to keep little ones busy, such as free doodle pads and crayons to gluing and sticking. They also provide unlimited paints and paper for just £1.50 per pallet, which you can just keep topping up. It provides a safe space for you to engage in messy, creative play without the hassle of doing it at home.

The food here is great and it is worth noting that it is also incredibly cheap. The kids meals are a bargain price of £2.50! My little girl had a bowl of meatballs and pasta, with cucumber and crisps on the side. The service was incredibly quick and the staff were very attentive. We will definitely be back to try their afternoon tea, as it looked fabulous, but has to be booked in advance.

If you are after a party or a private booking the team here are very accommodating. They have a small space at the back of the café, which offers a perfect area for birthday celebrations and private crafting functions. They have different events here throughout the year and offer themed activities depending on the occasion. We saw lots of pumpkins here in the run up to Halloween and I picked up a décopatch reindeer kit to do at home.
