Family Friendly Cafes: Rocket and Orange, Altrincham

by Sophie Cannon (follow)
An independent, family friendly café experience designed for both adults and children

Bringing along your brood to a coffee or lunch date can be somewhat daunting, we all know that no matter how many colouring sheets, activity books and electronic devices we're armed with, the inevitable is that after 20 minutes our little one is going to get bored, fidget and cause mischief!

Rocket and Orange, Altrincham

That's why one of our new favourite coffee hits is Altrincham's Rocket and Orange, the ultimate family friendly cafe with a delicious menu, lively decor and loads of in house games and activities for little hands- what's not to love?

The Cafe..
With a vibrant orange colour scheme, the cafe itself is bright and spacious, with lots of room for prams and high chairs.

Family friendly at it's best

It's the perfect place to meet up wth family and friends and has been designed to be an experience for both adults and children. Grown ups can relax with a coffee whilst kids can let loose without the worry of disturbing other customer's.

The Food..
Another family friendly feature is Rocket and Orange's awesome menu which has been specifically designed with family dining in mind, ditching salt and using all natural flavours where possible.

A variety of brekkie options are served until 12pm and if you're looking to visit for lunch, there are a range of sandwiches, salads, light meals and sharing boards up for grabs.

Kids LEGO lunchbox

Younger diners can look forward to portioned hot meals such as 'bangers and mash', 'pan fried pizza' or 'mac n cheese', or they can go for the massively popular children's lunch box which comes with a sandwich, veggie sticks, fruit, treat and a drink, as well as being served up in a LEGO Brick, yes you heard us right, lunch in a LEGO Brick!

The Kids..
Okay, so we promised you a cafe where kids would be kept occupied, so what makes Rocket and Orange different from the rest? Well the fully stocked LEGO table to begin with, but if that wasn't enough, kids can also enjoy a game of table football, giant connect 4, wall dominoes, ball tracks and the wall maze.

Plenty of fun and activities at Rocket and Orange

Children can make use of all of these great activities free of charge and they're all situated within viewing distance of the seating areas so mum can rest easy.

The Location..
As well as being brilliantly family friendly indoors, Rocket and Orange is also located next to Altrincham's Stamford Park which is home to a children's play area, duck pond, tennis courts and lots of open spaces for ball games.

What Others Think..
We spent several hours in here yesterday. Lovely relaxing place where the girls could play and you could actually sit down and see them and drink your cup of tea while it was still hot! Our sandwiches were lovely and my youngest devoured her Lego lunch box, my seven year old (who isn't the best with new places or food) loved her pizza she just wished it was bigger! Fabulous place worth a visit. - Facebook Review

What a great place! My 3 year old loved the different activities and it was a very relaxing trip with a 9 day old baby in tow. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The Lego lunch box was a great touch. We look forward to visiting again. - Facebook Review
