Get snappy and social with these photo walk classes.

Manchester Photography Group is back! It’s time to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor at these fortnightly photo sessions.

These photo walk classes are the ideal opportunity to brush up on your camera skills, learn new photography techniques and meet other local keen photographers like yourself!

Be guided by a professional photographer and come away with some new shots for your portfolio or album.

There is a different photo theme each fortnight and the two hour sessions take place in different outdoor locations across Manchester.

Book here!

Each session starts with an introduction to this fortnight’s theme. Your instructor will talk you through the camera settings and techniques to use, and there will be plenty of time to take lots of photos and ask your instructor questions. You will also receive feedback and have a chance to chat with everyone to share tips and ideas. They’re a social bunch!

There are also classes to suit different level of photography experience.

Are you a complete beginner?

If you are a novice behind the camera, Manchester Photography Group recommends you start with the Photography for Beginners Class, which is a three hour structured workshop where you’ll learn the basics of using your camera with 1-on-1 time with the instructor.

Are you looking to learn more?

Come along to the group sessions, which are more casual and informal than other workshops, and with more time to take photos and put your new skills into practice.

The next sessions are as follows:

  • Street Photography - Trof, North Quarter on Saturday the 11th of July 2020 at 2pm, 2 hours, £18pp
  • Outdoor Portraiture using Reflectors - John Rylands Library on Saturday the 11th of July 2020 at 2pm, 2 hours, £18pp

Manchester Photography ask that everyone attending a meetup follows social distancing guidelines:

  • Stay home if you're sick.
  • Keep 1.5 metres away from others.
  • Don’t make unnecessary physical contact with others. Avoid physical greetings, such as handshakes, hugs and kisses.
  • Wash your hands regularly with alcohol-based sanitiser.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. Use a flexed elbow or a tissue. If you use a tissue, dispose of it immediately and appropriately.
