Manchester's Local Water Parks

by Sophie Cannon (follow)
Heading to an indoor water park can be a great way to celebrate summer without having to brave the outside temperatures, and who knew that there were such great options around Manchester?

Waterworld Stoke

Here are three splash 'tastic' water parks all within an hours drive (just!) of Manchester City Centre.

Hyde Leisure Pool
There is the perfect mix of watery activities at Hyde Leisure Pool, water slides, wave machines, water cannons and river rapids - what's not to love?

There are various features suitable for younger children, and mum and dad can kick back in the jacuzzi or on the bubble beds.

Address: Walker Lane, Hyde, Greater Manchester, SK14 5PL

Price: Adult: 5.50 / Junior: 3.50 / Under 5: 1.70

Find more info here.

Splash Zone, Warrington
Part of Gulliver's World Warrington, Splash Zone is full to the brim with 'sprays, streams and super slides', and is perfect for children of all ages- they even have a Splash Tots session specifically designed for little ones.

Parents can either join in or take a seat in the viewing area with a coffee, none of the water is deep enough to swim in so although little ones will need supervision, older children can feel free to run riot!

Address: Gullivers World, Warrington, Cheshire, WA5 9YZ

Cost: Adult: 2 / Child: 7 / Under 90cm: 4

Find more info here.

Waterworld Stoke
Okay, so we lied a little. Waterworld Stoke is roughly around a 75 minute drive away from Manchester City Centre, but trust us, it's worth the extra milage! Voted the UK's number one indoor tropical aqua park, Waterworld is home to a number of white knuckle rides such as the 'Black Hole' and the 375ft ups and downs of 'The Nucleus'!

The various toddler slides and bubble pools ensure that Waterworld is perfect for the whole family. An awesome day out that is not for the faint hearted and not to be missed!

Address: Festival Park, Festival Way, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ST1 5PU

Cost: Under 1.1 metres: 10.99 / Over 1.1 metres: 12.99 / Under 2's are free.

Find more info here.
