Every year, the Manchester Craft & Design Centre plays fairy godmother to a bunch of talented students from the Manchester School of Art, and 2025 is no different. This time, we've got a trio of award-winning graduates: Mary Craig, Sam Holmes, and Isla Paine. These bright sparks in BA (Hons) Product Design and Craft have really wowed us with their knack for turning materials into something astonishing that practically dances off the wall.
Their collection is like a love letter to the environment, showing just how materials can be influenced by their surroundings and vice versa. Drawing inspiration from everything around them, they've managed to intertwine movement and place into their work. It's not just about aesthetics; it's about sending out a message that's equal parts urgent and hopeful, nudging us all to think about a greener, shinier future. So if you're into art that makes you think and feel, this is one event you might want to swing by—who knows, it might just get your creative gears turning.
