Projekts MCR Skatepark

by Lydia (follow)
Here to make Manchester a better place for adrenaline junkies

Projekts MCR Skatepark is based at the skatepark under the Mancunian Way flyover, on the edge of Manchester city centre. It's an awesome piece of urban architecture that provides a fantastic space for those that use skateboards, scooters, blades, skates and BMXs. They have classes and activities for all levels and abilities, so even if your children are complete beginners it offers a great, safe space to try out something new.

One of the things that this organisation prides itself on is the environment that they have created. It is a space where children and young people can feel comfortable in exploring a new and often intimidating activity. They have four regular weekend coaching sessions available and these are split between beginners and advanced sessions. These run on a Saturday and Sunday.

The Manchester Crochet Club meets fortnightly to learn crochet, meet other Manchester mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
They also host holiday clubs for three hours on weekdays during the school breaks. If your child is totally new to skating or a seasoned vet this is the best place to bring them. The holiday club provides great atmosphere, great coaching and a great rest for parents.

If you are after a birthday party with a difference they even have opportunities to hire the venue! The skatepark is available for kid's (and adults) birthday parties on Saturday and Sunday mornings 11:30am until 1:30pm. The cost for a party here is £225, which is great value for money as it includes exclusive access to the concrete section of our skatepark, a reserve on the big tables in the cafe, an hours coaching and an hours free skate. They also provide all the equipment including, safety pads, skateboards and scooters.
