Reddish Vale Farm And Riding School

by Lydia (follow)
Petting farm, ponies and pretty special parties

Reddish Vale Farm and Riding School has built a successful reputation as Stockport’s premier horse riding school and an exciting animal farm for children.

With BHS qualified instructors and friendly ponies and horses, their horse riding school is fantastic for beginners, novices and professionals.

The Manchester Crochet Club meets fortnightly to learn crochet, meet other Manchester mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
Reddish Vale Farm was set up to give children a unique insight into life in the countryside and it does just that!

The farm itself has a variety of animals, including; horses, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, milking cows, llamas, alpacas, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. You can really get up close and personal to them too and I would urge you to buy a few buckets of food as this provides a great opportunity to engage with the animals. They even have a bouncy castle on site and outdoor toys and a fantastic playground for your children to explore.

The riding school at Reddish Vale Farm offers a variety of options for lessons and all are with reputable instructors. They are trained to work with children of all abilities and they have a progression level system to ensure that individual needs are met. The walkouts happen every Saturday between 9:00am and 1:00pm and these lessons are group lessons. Each pony has a leader leading the pony and there is an instructor to the whole group. These sessions include help with balance, confidence, practice at walking and trotting. Once children have gained the confidence at these skills they move to a group lesson in the Menage. Private lessons are also available.

If you are looking for a memorable birthday party for your child Reddish Vale Farm is the place to be. They have two main packages available. The horse riding package is for a minimum of eight guests and is aimed at children aged 7 - 12 years. They include a half hour walk-out on our ponies (including hire of a riding hat and body protector) and a meal, drink and ice cream in the tea rooms. All that you need to provide are party bags and a birthday cake. The other option of party is the animal farm party, for children aged between 2 and 7.

There are lots of events coming up this summer and the highlight of their calendar is their birthday bash in August. As well as the normal farmyard activities there will also have face-painting, arts and crafts, pony rides, bouncy castles and our new attraction 'the tractor train ride'. This is one event that is not to be missed.
