Climbing for everyone in the heart of Manchester

[Link https://www.rockoverclimbing.co.uk/ ] caters for the complete beginner to the expert climber. It is incredibly family friendly offering a number of different sessions and classes for children of all ages. It has been open for 8 years and through continued expansion now has one of the largest bouldering centres in the UK, a dedicated rope wall, cafe and soft play. They are also home to the official GB Team training wall.



They offer a range of activities for children of all ages and we particularly enjoyed the Cheeky Monkeys sessions for adventurous toddlers between the ages of 2 and 4. These sessions are an hour long and cost £4 so are great value for money. Children will run, jump, play and climb their way around the centre under the supervision of fully qualified instructors. Parents can either watch the children climb or sit in the cafe and relax while the children burn off some steam. After the session the soft play equipment is free to use.



Other sessions include Mini Kids for children aged between 4 and 7. Mini Kids is aimed at young children who have a lot of energy to use up! They'll spend a full hour with one of their fantastic instructors climbing, playing games and having fun. For children aged between 7 and 16 they also have two options, these are; Junior Climbing Club and Junior Rope Climbing. Both sessions are aimed at developing climbing ability but the Rope Climbing Club also teaches them new skills such as knot tying and belaying.



For birthday parties with a difference you can also come here to celebrate. They have three different climbing packages to choose from and prices start from £70. These parties are for children aged 5 plus. They also have soft play parties for children aged between 2 and 12. These sessions last for 120 minutes and involve the use of the toddlers area and the state of the art soft play for 90 minutes, followed by 30 minutes use of the mezzanine seating area for food.
