Sadhana Yoga, Pilates and Meditation offers fantastic classes for both pregnant mothers, couples birth prep and parents with their children. Sadhana is welcoming and knowledgeable and supports you in your pregnancy journey, well in to parenthood.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sadhana when I first signed on to her pregnancy Yoga and Pilates classes in 2014. I had never practiced yoga prior to this and she really supported me to ensure that I learnt the fundamentals of it. Here I met lots of wonderful women who I would class as good friends and still communicate regularly with as we have children of a similar age. These classes helped to aid my energy levels and helped me sleep more soundly. They really helped to focus my mind on what I was about to experience and gave me helpful tips and techniques to breathe throughout childbirth.

She also runs a couple birth prep session which I would strongly recommend. This is run at Sadhana's home and is a really relaxed environment for both you and your partner. Here you will look at a variety of effective birth positions/breath and relaxation techniques. You will learn how to keep the back and pelvic girdle strong and supported. Finally you will look at how your partner can work with you, making it a fun way for you both to be able to enjoy this monumental experience.

Every Monday she offers Yoga and Pilates sessions at Monton Memorial Hall. This is a wonderful, nurturing and supported class, for parents and babies and toddlers. These classes are drop in so there is no need to book and all ages are welcome. During school holidays older siblings can also join in the fun. These sessions allow parents to work with Yoga and Pilates techniques to gain tone and strength in core, pelvic floor, hips and back. Things that come in handy once you have had a child.

The sessions are fully interactive and allow for bonding time with your babies/toddlers as they incorporate action songs and rhymes throughout. This class is incredibly relaxed and you can take time out to feed or change your child during the session. Sadhana also creates a great space for you to meet other, likeminded parents as she encourages people to go for a coffee in the Blind Pig in Monton after the class.
