[Link https://www.slingandmeet.co.uk/ Salford Sling and Meet] is the perfect group for parents who want to find out more about babywearing. Here you can learn how to carry your child safely in a supportive and friendly environment. They meet every Wednesday at the Funhouse in Swinton from 12:00 pm until 2:30 pm. Meet like minded people and learn new skills, whilst utilising all the Funhouse has to offer.



Carrying your child in a sling is a wonderful bonding experience and offers many benefits for parents, carers and children. When you attend the meeting you will be given personal advice and guidance about a range of different slings to make sure you find the one for you. When I was a new mum I found that the choice was simply overwhelming but withing the first meeting I was able to narrow the choice down and find one that was perfect for me and my little girl. You can even hire a sling or carrier from their sling library to make sure it definitely is the right fit.



Volunteers are happy to help and even offer private consultations if this is something you are looking for. Online and on their Facebook group they offer online tutorials and baby wearing top tips to ensure you are following all the safety guidelines. This amazing support group provides all you will need to get started and is a great place to keep going back to as a seasoned pro babywearer. With cake, hot drinks and friendly faces you are made to feel very welcome.



They also have an additional session on the first Saturday of every month at the Vine Cafe in Salford. The address for this venue is 327 Bolton Road, Salford, M6 7GU. This session runs from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
