Stockeld Park

Where the magic begins and adventures happen

Stockeld Park is an amusement and theme park in North Yorkshire. It is a magical seasonal attraction that is home to adventure during most school holidays. It is a Grade I listed home and estate that is situated between Wetherby and Harrogate. Family activities held here include adventure playgrounds, an enchanted forest, a maze and lazer adventure, all of which are themed dependent on date of visiting. It is well worth the drive from central Manchester to visit!!

There is so much to do here you will want to keep coming back for more as you simply can't do it all in one day. The main attraction here is the Enchanted Forest Walk with twists and turns at every point. The walk is littered with interactive elements including a talking tree, an ogre, musical instruments to play and houses to explore. We absolutely love the giant book and slide inside a worm's body!

Along the walk there are also a number of five imaginative adventure playgrounds to explore. First up is the tepee encampment playground with a number of slides, totem poles and climbing equipment. Next up is the tangle tree climb which is geared towards older children and is perfect for those who like to climb. Woodsands cove is a large sandpit area that is filled with swashbuckling adventure play. This area is near the lake and makes a great setting for play. There is also a spider's lair with a big friendly spider with spin climbing nets, jungle bridges and zip wires. The last adventure playground is farmer Foster's barnyard with lots of wooden tractors and farm houses to climb on.

Each holiday they have different themes and activities to take part in. We have been twice now and at Halloween they had potion making, fancy dress fun and a 1.2km Nordic skiing trail through the Enchanted Forest. In February they had den building, indoor bouncy pillows and a electric scooter trail around the Enchanted Forest. Other themes and events include a Circus in April and Dinosaur hunting in May.
