[Link https://www.thehideawaymanchester.com/ ] has recently opened and is a fantastic space for children to play. It is much more than a soft play centre, it is a community resource with so much to offer children up to the age of ten. It truly is a hidden gem that people need to know about!
The centre is open 6 days a week for families to spend time together enjoying the facilities. They charge for the amount of time you spend there and this is capped at £4.50. We spent nearly three hours there during the week and pretty much had the place to ourselves. It is well worth a visit.
is one large space but is sectioned off in to different areas. At the far end of the building they have a large piece of soft play equipment, which is the perfect size to let your children explore freely. It has a slide, ball pool and lots of climbing activities. There is also a netted area with three basketball hoops and a range of different balls to play with. My one year old nephew loved kicking a football around this section.
In the middle section they have a bouncy castle, a mini golf course, pool tables and table tennis. They also have crafting stations with lego, pens and art equipment for children to craft to their hearts desire.
Next up they have a huge area full of bricks and wheelbarrows, which kept my daughter entertained for quite some time. They have a fire engine here too and you can dress up and play make believe here with the equipment. There is a quiet area as well which has shelves full of books and bean bags for you to sit and enjoy.
The last part of is the row of shops. This includes; a garage, a post office, a cafe and a 'Tesco'. This section reminded me a little of [Link https://manchestermums.co.uk/imagine-that/ 'Imagine that'] in Liverpool and it is really nice having something like this in Manchester. They have cars, push along bikes and scooters for your kids to ride round and enjoy. This part really helps children to develop their imagination and encourages creative play.
There is a cafe on site and this provides a wide range of food at a really cheap price. A large beans and toast is £1.90 and they do great meal deals for children.
also holds a range of activities throughout the week and do special themed events accordingly. These activities are free and include; song time, rhyme time, basketball tots, messy fun, slime time and much more. They offer something for everyone!
is phase one of the new centre in Partington. Phase two will see the entire play space transformed into a state of the art play facility which is unique in the UK. When the centre re-opens it will be called the Hidden Treasure Discovery Centre.
