Last night I paid a visit to [link https://contactmcr.com/ Contact Theatre] to watch their new family show - The Siege of Christmas. What's different about this one is that you don't get a seat. Instead on arrival you're issued with a set of headphones and then the group is led around the building through a series of scenes meeting different characters along the way. The audience is taken on a journey to save the spirit of Christmas.

It's particularly good for younger children at only one hour long with lots of audience participation, but it's also fun for adults to watch too. I took 12 and 14 year old boys along and despite being worried beforehand it would be too babyish, they really enjpyed the show.

Contact Theatre is not the easiet to find by car, set amongst the Manchester University Campus, but it's easily reached by public transport. If you can manage to find it, there is parking right outside for only £2.
