The most egg-cellent Easter activities

Here at Manchester Mums we have compiled a list of all the fantastic events happening over the next few weeks, as part of the Easter celebrations. From egg hunts to an Easter Wonderland we have all the best activities covered in and around Manchester.

1. [Link Easter Wonderland at Cockfields Farm]

This event is celebrating all things Easter with entertainment shows, Easter egg hunts, chocolate egg decorating and opportunities throughout the day to interact with all the amazing new animals being born. You will get to bottle feed the goats, cuddle the baby chicks and ducklings and feed the barn animals. You can also enjoy all the fantastic play areas as part of your day too. These include; the indoor role play village, the fabulous jumping pillow, pedal tractors, swings and slides and climbing frames.

2. [Link Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt at Lyme Park]

You are invited to explore the garden at Lyme park and participate in a nature adventure for the whole family. Throughout selected dates in April there will be a trail running, with a reward of a chocolate prize. The trail starts at the House and costs £2.50 per child. The Lost Words exhibition will also be running during this time if you want to combine to make a full day out. This isnspired by the book by Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris. Children are encouraged to seek, find and speak words from the natural world that are disappearing from children's vocabulary. You will get the chance to explore the house, park and garden to see these Lost Words brought to life.

3. [Link Refuge Easter: We Are Family]

There are a series of events being held at the Refuge all weekend with the Sunday activities being tailored to families. They are partnering up with Bluedot festival to provide a fab day, full of fantastic activities. There will be science experiments and intergalactic interactive children’s entertainment in the Basement and the Our Kids Social team will be in the Den. There will be face painting, space talks, Easter egg hunting, print workshops and circus skills to keep everyone entertained.

4. [Link Giant Easter Duck Trail at Martin Mere]

Get the family together and go quackers this Easter with a Giant Easter Duck Trail! 25 giant ducks have been hidden around the wetlands for you to find. You need to collect your trail card from the information desk, explore the grounds to find them all and get a tasty treat at the end. After the trail you can get creative in their craft room and you can also uncover a world of incredible underwater life in the new Pond Zone. There is lots to do this April here for all the family.
