A cake and tea emporium

It offers a relaxed and open space for play dates, family brunches and social gatherings and can even be hired privately for baby showers and parties. With a wide range of food options available and cakes galore you won't be disappointed.





What makes this cafe special is the way in which it caters for children. I have visited a number of child-friendly cafes and this feels like the biggest and more open planned one by a long shot. We have ventured to a number of times and each time I have felt totally at ease dining with my toddler. The clientele seems to be mainly families with small children and you can definitely see why it is a hit. They have a small area dedicated to kids, with books, toys and a large chalkboard for them to decorate. My little girl spent an hour in there, making friends, playing with dolls and engaging in make believe play. We could quite easily see what she was up to and could relax whilst she was playing.



We visited on a Saturday morning and enjoyed the breakfasts here. The breakfast menu was full of traditional options and they even did child friendly portion sizes too. The service was great and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. We even found space to enjoy one of the wide selections of cakes. The scones were freshly baked that morning and the chocolate cakes come highly recommended from my three year old!!



If you want to extend your day out there are some fab places to play nearby. We combined it with a trip to [Link https://manchestermums.co.uk/fairy-tale-trail-at-clifton-country-park/ The Fairy Tale Trail at Clifton Country Park]. Clifton Country Park lies beside the River Irwell and has acres of open woodland and meadows.The park itself has a lakeside walk which features a fairy tale sculpture trail. The trail is a mile long and takes about an hour to walk round, which is perfect for little legs. It ends with a Gruffalo inspired statue that children will love. There is also a playground near the car park for little ones to explore.
