A Swiss Family Robinson adventure playground

[Link https://treehouseplay.co.uk/ Treehouse Play] is a brand new play centre with a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Altrincham. It aims to provide a unique experience and steps away from the more traditional soft play to include; rope bridges and wooden houses to climb into and explore, an enormous tree to climb all the way to the top floor and a slide that wraps all around it to bring you back down!

They pride themselves on the food that they offer and the restaurant provides a beautiful setting in which to dine, with a silver birch tree as a central feature. The restaurant serves a menu of delicious dishes made from the freshest locally sourced ingredients for both children and adults, catering to gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free requirements too. We ate here before we went to the soft play and although it was a tough ask getting the children to sit still (they were desperate to enter the soft play) the food came relatively quickly and was delicious. I would definitely recommend the Halloumi flatbread!

The play area is separate from the restaurant and is at the back of the building. You have to pay to enter here and the amount paid depends on the age of the child. Adults are free to enter and it clearly states that adults need to supervise children at all times. There is an area to store prams and the play area is split over two levels.

Downstairs is aimed at children aged 4 plus and there are a range of treehouses and climbing equipment here. There is also a trampoline which has a strict one person only policy with a staff member stationed here to check it is adhered to as it was pretty manic, with children desperate to bounce. There are two slides in this area and a small climbing wall also. Here there is also the entrance to the large central slide!

Upstairs features a small seating area, which also has table service. They have a sports area to burn off all that energy with basketball hoops and football nets. There is a disco area with UV cannons, glowing graffiti, fluorescing cubes, and a projector showing Just Dance to teach you dance moves all day long! Here is the play area for younger children too, with a smaller version of downstairs for little ones to explore.

There is a large party area here too, and it was a great space with plenty of room for games and activities in here. They will also be holding lots of fun classes and activities for children of varying ages here, ranging from dance classes to arts and crafts. Every Friday and Saturday night they are running a pyjama club from 6:30 until 8:30pm for children aged 3 plus. A children's film or cartoon will be shown starting at 6:45pm and children are given a beanbag and a blanket to get cozy while being served fresh popcorn and drinks. Parents and carers can join us in the restaurant downstairs and have a meal or a few drinks at the bar and relax knowing the children are being watched and entertained!
