A creative space for young people

Z-arts is a multi artform community arts space based in Hulme. Its Manchester's dedicated venue for children, families and friends. Their mission is to inspire and enable generations of young people from across Manchester and beyond to utilise their creativity to maximise their potential.

They run 18 weekly participatory classes in all art forms for children aged 0-13 in their artistic hub which houses a 230 seat theatre, gallery, music room, dance studio and various activity rooms. They also have a bustling café with a dedicated toy corner to keep children entertained whilst you have a pit stop.

They host regular family friendly events and the next one will be celebrating Chinese New year from 10.30am - 1.30pm on the 17th February. As part of this they will have arts and craft activities inspired by the Year of the Dog. The theatre shows held at Z-arts are also not to be missed.

We have visited a number of times and have had so much fun at every visit. My little girl particularly enjoyed the 'We are going on a bear hunt exhibition' and the Allsorts music family fun day. We are very much looking forward to visiting in the half term to watch the 'Snow Mouse'. This is presented by Travelling Light and The Egg and will be on from the 21st-25th February.

Feedback from the facebook page:

"Just been to a free family workshop which my little boy absolutely loved. ZArts provides so many diverse and wonderful activities and events for all ages - really is such a fabulous hub in the community."

"We came to see The Colour of Me!! My children are 3,5 &7yrs. I have never seen anything like this before it was absolutely fantastic! They were all engaged and highly entertained, they absolutely loved the interactive parts of the performance. The soft seating around the performance area was so comfy especially for wiggly little bottoms. The performers captivated the children with their expression and movement. All my children came away buzzing, can't recommend this highly enough! thank you so much we all thoroughly enjoyed it x"
